Brit Jamie Murray and New Zealander Michael Venus have won the title in the doubles competition at the Srpska Open tennis tournament. In the final played on the Centre Court they rolled past their opponents, Portuguese Francisco Cabral and Kazakhstani Aleksandr Nedovyesov, with 2:0 (7:5, 6:2).
After the match, Jamie Murray expressed his gratitude to Srpska Open Director Djordje Djokovic and everyone involved in the organisation of the tournament, as well the audience in Banjaluka and added:
“I’m glad we managed to justify the expectations as the top seeds. I would like to congratulate our opponents on a good game. We won and, all in all, we’ve had a good week”.
