One of the best young tennis players Hamad Medjedovic has been truthful and said that it was his dream to play at a tournament with such major tennis stars such as Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, Andrey Rublev etc.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is great. Everything is top-class. Naturally, this tournament means a lot to me, so many tennis stars are here; it\u2019s an honour to be here and it\u2019s a dream come true. I would like to play my best tennis here and I believe I can go far. However, I didn\u2019t set any specific goal\u201d, said Hamad Medjedovic who will play against Gr\u00e9goire Barr\u00e8re in the first round.<\/p>\n
He has also commented on the tennis complex although he did not have much time to walk through \u00a0Banjaluka since he arrived to Republika Srpska.<\/p>\n
\u201cBanjaluka is a beautiful city but I did not get the chance to get to know the city better. In terms of tennis courts, I can see that they are really good, although the weather is a bit cold. I hope it doesn\u2019t rain. Everything else will be great\u201d.<\/p>\n
Medjedovic has also talked about his plans for the future after the Srpska Open.<\/p>\n
\u201cI plan to practice after this tournament for a week, and then compete at some challenger tournaments, followed by Roland-Garros.\u201d<\/p>\n
When it comes to his expectations for the continuation of the season, the young tennis player hopes that he will get better and better as the tennis season advances.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe that I\u2019m the key and if I play well and give all I\u2019ve got to show what I know, I believe I can make a good result.\u201d<\/p>\n
Professional collaboration with Viktor Troicki is progressing well.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t talk much with Victor. We usually talk before the match. We mostly get along great. We have been working together for a couple of months now.\u201d<\/p>\n
If he advances to the second round, Medjedovic will play against some of the Serbian players.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t give it too much thought. I will focus to win in the first round. Then we\u2019ll see. I do feel a pre-performance nervousness but a positive one. I believe that there will be many spectators, even some of my friends.”<\/p>\n
Medjedovic is a Serbian tennis hopeful but he says that he doesn\u2019t feel any pressure.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think much about those comments regarding my future in tennis. I have a lot of work to do; I\u2019m on the right path. The only thing I want to do is to give my best at every match, to progress every day, and we\u2019ll see how far I can go\u201d,\u00a0 Medjedovic concluded.<\/p>\n
